Designing for Inclusion

The concept of the curb cut effect illustrates how designs intended for neurodivergent individuals can benefit everyone, such as curb cuts aiding strollers and delivery carts. While some new buildings are embracing neuro-inclusive design, there’s a risk of superficial changes being seen as adequate solutions. True inclusivity requires ongoing effort and collaboration among designers, city planners, and politicians to create spaces that are genuinely welcoming for all.
