The transition from traditional burial practices to cremation has reshaped the landscape of memorialization for many Chinese Singaporeans. With a significant increase in cremation rates, the challenge arose to design a columbarium that respects cultural heritage while accommodating modern needs. Architect Tay aimed to create a space that honors nature and feng shui, steering clear of a sterile, warehouse-like structure, ultimately opting for an upward design to maximize space.In this clip
