Sam and Bud seize the opportunity to invest in a shopping center in Rushkin Heights, leading to massive sales growth. Sam becomes convinced that this concept is the future and starts evangelizing to town planners. However, facing slow progress, he decides to take matters into his own hands and starts building his own larger stores called "family centers."
