Surviving War, Hiding, and Revolution

Andres and his family endure the horrors of the Holocaust, going into hiding and assuming new identities. Liberated by the Soviets, they face a new challenge as Hungary becomes a Soviet state, forcing his father to renounce everything. Anti-Semitism still lingers, making their lives difficult even after the war.
