Propaganda and Perception
Matthew and Jaeden delve into the concept of subliminal messaging and its potential to influence thoughts and emotions through fear. They explore the implications of using electrical pulses to manipulate feelings, questioning the ethical boundaries of such technology. The discussion raises concerns about a future where pleasure and pain could be artificially induced, leading to a society conditioned by emotional responses. In this clip

Discuss how cognitive biases, misinformation, and government propaganda can distort public perception and lead to actions perceived as evil, despite individuals believing they serve a greater good. Use historical examples such as fascism, communism, World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, 9/11, the invasion of the Middle East, and NATO to illustrate your points. How do these narratives prioritize the collective over the individual, and what are the consequences?
I have a question about episode 502: Dr Joe Dispenza on Changing Your Thoughts, Emotions & Life and the concept of changing your reality. Andrew talks about a process to erase fear and traumas, saying that first you need to extinguish the fear or trauma by retelling the narrative. The whole point of that is to diminish the physiological response, right? If the goal is to diminish the physiological response, then if a person works to change their physiological response immediately after being triggered, would that over time also diminish the physiological response and therefore break the conditioning? Am I right? For example, if a person had a traumatic experience with a spider, but every time they see the spider or get activated through some trigger and immediately after uses breathwork to calm the body, would that work like retelling a narrative to extinguish the fear? Did I miss something?
