How important is it to pick your relationships wisely and choose a life based on your decision-making, not based on what someone else wants for you?
When you were talking about the job I’m applying for, I know it came from a place of love, excitement, and support (and I really do appreciate that). I’m also happy about the opportunity, and I want it to work out. Honestly, I’m a little scared because of what happened to me at the Westin — that mental break was one of the hardest times in my life, and it almost cost us our relationship. I never want to go through something like that again. The good thing is, I know I’ve learned from it and I feel stronger now, but it’s why I’m trying to stay grounded and not get too excited until things feel more secure.
I also wanted to share something I felt today. After our conversation last night, I found myself wondering if you were okay because I felt a little less connected this morning — about reaching out to Jason, later when I asked for help with the attorney, and again when I called because I hadn’t heard from you. I might be overthinking, but I just wanted to be honest about how it felt on my end. If something’s on your mind, I’d love to hear it because your thoughts matter so much to me.
