The Ethereum roadmap for 2025 includes significant updates through the Petra hard fork. We're getting a doubling of blobspace in Petra, but unfortunately we're not getting pure DAS in Pectro.

Upgrade Timeline

The timeline for Ethereum's upgrades is becoming clearer as the community approaches the Petra hard fork. Ryan Adams and David discuss the expected implementation of key EIPs in 2025, noting that while some upgrades like Max Effective Balance and account abstraction for EOA wallets are on track, others like Peer DAS will be delayed until 2026 1. This delay means that the anticipated tenfold increase in blobspace will not occur until the Fusaka hard fork.

We will probably get Pure DAs in later 2026, which means slow.
