Control is an illusion when it comes to decision-making, as our beliefs often cloud our predictions about the future. Despite being aware of biases like confirmation bias and motivated reasoning, intelligence can actually exacerbate these issues, leading even the most numerate individuals to skew data to fit their preconceived notions.
