Menopause Explained

Understanding menopause can be confusing, but it can be simplified into three main phases: premenopause, perimenopause, and postmenopause. Premenopause lasts for decades until irregular periods begin, signaling the onset of perimenopause. This phase is further divided into early and late stages, leading up to menopause, which is officially diagnosed after twelve consecutive months without a period. Once this milestone is reached, women transition into postmenopause, marking a new chapter in their lives.
