Memorable Rounds

The golf trip in California was filled with unforgettable rounds that left a lasting impression on Mike Shade and Eli Strait. They played on courses that were not only challenging but also breathtakingly beautiful, making it difficult to focus solely on the game. Eli reflected on the experience, saying, "All right, officially, there's no reason for us to continue playing golf after playing this course. The chase is over. Well, there's nowhere to go from here" 1. Despite the less-than-perfect scores, the camaraderie with fellow golfers Alan and Faze added to the enjoyment, making it their favorite round of the week 1.

The courses played during the trip were notable for their unique features and stunning views. Pelican Hill, in particular, stood out as the most scenic course they had ever played, with Mike and Eli both marveling at the Pacific Ocean vistas. Eli expressed his awe, "I'm looking over right now the Pacific Ocean, and I have a knowingness inside me that my game does not. Oh, my gosh. This is the best course I've ever played, and it's not even close" 2. The weather added an extra layer of challenge, with rain affecting play at Monarch, yet the experience remained positive and memorable 3.
