I'm an Australian woman in my early sixties who hasn't slept without a sleep aid for 15 years, and now the sleep aids aren't working much at all. I really don't know how I'm still alive, except that God is keeping me alive for a reason. I recently watched two of your interviews on Diary of a CEO, and I think they explained the underlying cause of my severe insomnia. Over the years, I've had countless studies done on me, including brain scans and numerous supplements, but they have all been a waste of time and money and have not helped at all. As you mentioned in your interviews, I've had gut issues since childhood. If I have a mutated gut gene, it comes from my father, who has always had gut issues. However, he has never experienced insomnia as severe as mine. Could you provide insights on how my gut issues might be related to my insomnia?
I just got over a 3-day fast to clear out a diverticulitis flare-up, using bone broth and water. My excrement was like acid, it burned, and embarrassingly, I believe I have hemorrhoids. I have not had any bleeding from it in 1 month until the last 3 days. I also have sharp pains that come and go between what feels like my butthole and bladder or between my butthole and testicles, just up inside. These pains just started getting worse during the fast.
