    • Beef Tallow

Paul Saladino discusses the protective effects of beef tallow against colon cancer. He highlights a study where rats fed with beef tallow showed reduced precancerous lesions and increased mucosal apoptosis compared to those fed with soybean oil 1. Paul emphasizes the importance of including animal fats in our diet for their potential health benefits 2.

Tallow was protective. Get your animal fat in your diet. This is a really cool interventional study, which is often ignored when people are told that meat or animal fat causes cancer. That shows that meat and animal fat prevents it or improves outcomes.

      --- Paul Saladino

He encourages listeners to incorporate beef tallow into their meals for its protective properties.

      Odd Chain Fats

Paul delves into the benefits of odd chain fatty acids, particularly pentadecanoic acid (C:15). He explains that these fatty acids, found in animal fats, are associated with lower risks of cardiometabolic diseases and lower mortality rates 3. Paul stresses the importance of consuming animal fats to obtain these beneficial fatty acids, which are scarce in plant-based foods.

Higher circulating concentrations of ocfas, pentadecanoic acid c 15 and heptadechanoic acid c 17 are associated with lower risks of cardiometabolic diseases. Higher dietary intake is associated with lower mortality.

      --- Paul Saladino

He encourages the consumption of beef tallow and other animal fats to ensure adequate intake of these essential nutrients.
