Week 14 Waivers & More W13 Film Review

Titans vs. Colts

The Titans versus Colts game was a rollercoaster of emotions, highlighted by Michael Pittman's overtime heroics. Despite a lackluster performance from the Colts' offense, Pittman managed to shine, delivering a game-winning touchdown in overtime after a series of possession plays with Gardner Minshew 1. The Titans, on the other hand, saw Taj Spears stepping up after Derrick Henry left the game due to a helmet-to-helmet hit. Spears showcased his speed and agility, proving to be a valuable asset in Henry's absence 2.

Spears was terrific and we're going to at least mention him in waivers, and he would be a must start if there were no Derrick Henry next week against the Dolphins.

The game also featured some trick plays and notable performances from Chigoziem Okonkwo and Chris Moore, although the Titans' passing game remained inconsistent 2.

   

Falcons vs. Jets

The Falcons versus Jets matchup was marked by strategic plays and quarterback challenges. Arthur Smith focused on utilizing Kyle Pitts, designing the first half around deep shots to him, though with limited success 3. Desmond Ritter struggled, completing only twelve passes, while Bijan Robinson faced a tough Jets defense, managing a few significant plays 3. Meanwhile, the Jets' quarterback woes continued with Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian failing to capitalize on opportunities, leading to calls for Zach Wilson4.

Tim Boyle was just know, just hilarious. There's one play action in the first half where Garrett Wilson was wide open down the field and Boyle either didn't see it or wouldn't throw it.

The Jets' defense remained formidable, but offensive struggles overshadowed their efforts, leaving fans questioning the team's direction 4.

   

Commanders vs. Dolphins

In the Commanders versus Dolphins game, De'Von Achane emerged as a key player for the Dolphins, especially in the second half when the game was already decided. He demonstrated his potential with multiple carries, although the game was dominated by Raheem Mostert5. The Commanders struggled offensively, with Brian Robinson showing promise before an injury sidelined him, leaving Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez to pick up the slack 5.

A Chan looked healthy and he can be a bigger part of the game plan when the game is competitive.

Despite the lopsided score, the game highlighted the Dolphins' depth and the Commanders' need for offensive consistency, particularly in the passing game 6.
