Eye tracking is a widely used and regarded measuring device in human computer interaction. It provides valuable insights into how people pay attention to content on screens. While eye tracking is highly correlated with mouse data in certain tasks, such as web search, the mouse approach can still provide a rich amount of information if eye tracking is not available or too expensive for a project.
