Agency and Victimhood

Agency is about making choices that shape one’s life, yet a growing culture of victimhood threatens to diminish this essential power. The rhetoric of being oppressed can stifle confidence and discourage action, particularly among the youth. Emphasizing personal responsibility is crucial, as agency and democracy are intertwined; when one is suppressed, so too is the other.
