I've been following the advice to set the thermostat to 65 degrees for optimal sleep, expecting to sleep better. However, my wife and I have been waking up around 3 or 4 a.m. when we normally wake up at 7 or 8 a.m. because we've been too cold. We've been sleeping with just a sheet and a thin quilt. Is the recommendation to sleep at 65 degrees assuming you have heavier blankets? What should we do if we're waking up cold at that temperature?
My house and bedroom are about 16-16.5 degrees Celsius. Is that too cold to sleep in? I wake up multiple times every night because I can't sleep comfortably even though my blanket is thick and I wear thick clothes.
