Levels of Autonomy

Level three autonomy allows vehicles to drive without human input under specific conditions, such as clear weather and defined geofenced areas, but still requires the driver to be alert for critical situations. In contrast, level four autonomy enables cars to operate independently in most conditions, though limitations like geographical constraints and speed restrictions remain. Currently, no production vehicle is certified for full level four autonomy, highlighting the ongoing challenges in achieving complete self-driving capabilities.
