I just did two rounds of MAPS 15, and my body feels pretty good. I feel like I gained a lot of strength and stability. I want to transition back into an upper/lower or a MAPS Anabolic style workout. I'm an advanced lifter, and I want to ease my way back into higher volume without compromising the good recovery and increased metabolic rate I built from MAPS 15. How should I approach this transition?
I want to continue MAPS Anabolic and go to phase III, but I feel like the best decision right now is to postpone it to an undetermined date. I thought of doing the first week of phase III as a deload week, like using half the weight, but that may mess with my head, not knowing if I'm getting stronger. I want to continue to exercise, especially mobility work. What do you recommend I should do?
I did one round of MAPs Anabolic, then increased my protein and kind of did a reverse diet/bulk. After having 3 weeks left of my 2nd run through of MAPs Anabolic, I tweaked my knee and then hurt my back, which kept me out of the gym for a month while I tried to recover. Because of the bulk, I gained about 20lbs. My strength was improving and I was making good progress. The next step is to cut. What is the next step? Should I do MAPS Anabolic again, or should I do MAPS Aesthetic combined with a lower calorie, high protein diet?
