H. Pylori Insights

A staggering 50% of the global population is estimated to be infected with H. Pylori, yet not everyone will develop gastric cancer or peptic ulcers. The virulence of different H. Pylori strains plays a significant role in disease risk, alongside individual genetics. Interestingly, some research suggests that co-infection with helminths might reduce the risk of gastric cancer, although this remains a complex and debated topic.
