Inverting PhD Programs
Dwarkesh Patel argues that instead of locking young people into dead-end jobs, we should be hunting for people who need to be given time to really get deep into a subject. He believes that we ought to invert the standard PhD program and do it the other way, allowing young people to jump heads first into a field.
