Aubrey explains how epigenetic changes in aging are adaptations that are good for us to make the best of a bad job, and how individual cell analysis is necessary to ask meaningful questions about epigenetics with regard to actual aging. He also discusses the hypothesis that the quality of DNA maintenance and repair is driven by the need not to die of cancer before reproducing.
