I am a hardgainer who has always struggled with eating enough, despite trying everything right in terms of training and sleep. For about a week, I managed to eat the best I've ever done while bulking, consuming around 3500 calories easily, including 400g of carbs. However, I usually have a good week or two of eating, and then something happens that disrupts my appetite or causes digestive issues. Today, I ate breakfast and lunch fine, but I had a soup that I didn’t reheat completely, and since then, I haven't felt hungry. I ate some Christmas cookies at 16:00, but I still don’t feel like eating my usual meals, and I feel a bit blocked. As of now, I've only consumed 1300 calories and 70g of protein, which is not ideal. Why does my gut get messed up after a week or two of good eating? Is this issue happening today as well? What can I do to save my appetite and ensure I meet my bulking goals? I'm about to eat a chicken with rice noodles that I just prepared. I need to stop this cycle and reach 75kg first, then my dream weight of 80kg. Please help!
What would you consider more healthy: Eating eggs, bacon, and vegetables (no carbs) at 12:00, eating some oats and Greek yogurt at 16:00, and having dinner at 19:00 where the dinner is 1/3 meat, 1/3 carbs, and 1/3 vegetables? Or dropping the bacon and adding some carbs to lunch next to the eggs and adding more protein to other meals? I also fast from 20:00 in the evening to 12:00 the next day. My priority for food is studying and health, which is why I haven't eaten any carbs at lunch, so I don't feel sleepy. But I'm thinking of adding a little bit of carbs. What is your take?
