German Volume Training
Proper weight selection is crucial for effective German volume training; starting too heavy can lead to setbacks. It's important to choose a weight that feels manageable, ideally around 50% of what you think you can lift for ten reps. Remember, the goal is to avoid going to failure and to finish each set with a couple of reps in the tank. Learning from experience can help prevent injuries and ensure a more productive workout. In this clip

If I'm doing German Volume Training and using lighter weights, should I go to near failure on the 20-30 reps, or stop at 10 reps even if I could do more?
With German Volume Training and choosing a lighter weight, should I still stop at 10 reps even though I could do 30, or should I start with a heavier weight and then lower my weight as I go through the sets?
The program prescribes 3 sets of 10 reps of bench press. I could do ten with good form in the 1st set and could probably have done two more but I stopped. In set 2, the 10th rep started to slow down, so I stopped. In set 3, I started to slow down doing the 8th rep. Should I stop there, or would lowering the weights a little so I could hit 10 reps with good form be a better option?
