Stress and Sleep

Stress can wreak havoc on both mental and physical health, leading to increased cortisol levels that negatively impact memory, muscle mass, and hormonal balance. Sleep deprivation exacerbates this issue, significantly lowering the satiation hormone leptin while increasing the hunger hormone ghrelin, which drives cravings for carbohydrates. It's crucial to recognize that much of our stress stems from our own thoughts and beliefs rather than real threats.
