Rommel's Desert Campaign

The Afrika Korps, under Rommel's command, launched a surprising offensive against the British in North Africa, defying orders and capitalizing on their unpreparedness. As he reclaimed lost territory, including the strategic city of Benghazi, Rommel earned the moniker "Desert Fox."
