Cornelia and the Gracchi

Cornelia, a remarkable figure in Roman history, exemplified the ideal Roman woman, raising twelve children and influencing her sons' political careers. The Gracchi brothers emerged from a time of deepening social inequality, where wealth and land were increasingly concentrated among a few patricians, leaving many citizens without means.
