Life of the Sun

The sun, comprising 99.86% of the solar system's mass, is a g-type main sequence star, primarily made of hydrogen and helium. It is currently in the middle of its life cycle, expected to burn for another 5 billion years before transforming into a red giant. Interestingly, while the core reaches temperatures of about 5.7 million Kelvin, the sun's corona can soar to even higher temperatures, showcasing the complex dynamics at play within this celestial giant.
