Florida's unique cultural landscape and its stance on slavery made it an unlikely candidate for revolution, while Nova Scotia's mixed population created a complex relationship with the American cause. Despite some support from former New Englanders, the colony's geographical separation and absentee land ownership hindered a unified rebellion.
