Ancient Tattoo Traditions

Tattooing may date back as far as 50,000 years, making it one of humanity's earliest art forms. The discovery of Otzi, a well-preserved ancient man, revealed he had 61 tattoos, possibly serving medicinal purposes. Other ancient tattoos found on mummies in Egypt and Chile suggest a rich history of body art with cultural significance, often linked to protection and healing.
