International Space Station

The ISS has been continuously inhabited since its first crew arrived in 2000, marking over 22 years of human presence in space. Constructed between 1998 and 2011, it showcases international cooperation, with contributions from multiple space agencies including those from Europe, Japan, and Canada. With a mass exceeding 450,000 kg and a length comparable to a football field, the ISS stands as the largest man-made object in space and the most expensive ever built, costing over $150 billion.
