Pantheon’s Transformation

The Pantheon, originally a pagan temple, was transformed into a church by Boniface, preserving its structure through continuous use. Despite losing some exterior marble and features over the centuries, its architectural brilliance remains unmatched, showcasing a dome that has endured for nearly 2000 years. Interestingly, while the Pantheon stands at its original level, the surrounding city has gradually risen, highlighting its historical significance and architectural wonder.
