Lake Connections

Lake Michigan, the only Great Lake entirely within the U.S., shares a unique hydrological connection with Lake Huron through the Straits of Mackinac. The fascinating geography of the region includes Georgian Bay and the remarkable Manitoulin Island, home to the world's largest freshwater island. With its own lakes, Manitoulin Island even features Treasure Island, leading to the whimsical possibility of creating an island on a lake on an island, achieving a true "island lake inception."
