Ancient Lighthouse Engineering
The lighthouse was designed by the Greek architect Sostratus and featured a remarkable three-tiered structure, with a base that housed government offices and a spiral ramp for transporting fuel. At its peak, a giant bronze mirror reflected sunlight, while a statue of either Zeus or Poseidon crowned the top.
