Operation Gunnerside

The failed Operation Freshman led to heightened security, but the Norwegian commandos regrouped for Operation Gunnerside. With the help of an insider, they infiltrated a heavily guarded facility, successfully destroying vital heavy water supplies. Their daring raid crippled German production, although the damage was only temporary, prompting further Allied efforts.
