Pan American Highway

The Pan American Highway's journey begins in Prudeau Bay, Alaska, where the Dalton Highway connects to Fairbanks, primarily built for the Transalaska pipeline. The Alaska Highway, constructed during World War II, links Alaska to the continental U.S. but is largely situated in Canada. While the U.S. designated its interstate system as part of the Pan American Highway, travelers can choose various routes from Dawson Creek to Mexico, ultimately merging onto the Inter American Highway.
