Siege of Masada

The Sicarii, a small group of Jewish rebels, took refuge in the formidable fortress of Masada after the fall of Jerusalem. This stronghold, built by Herod, was nearly impossible to besiege due to its strategic location and limited water supply. As the last remaining rebels, the Sicarii conducted raids on nearby towns, leading the Romans to initiate a siege in a bid to quell the uprising once and for all.
