Years after the war's end, a group of Japanese soldiers remained hidden in the jungles, believing the conflict was still ongoing. They survived on fish, coconuts, and wild lizards, even salvaging materials from a downed bomber to create shelter. Notably, Soichi Yokoi emerged in 1972, highlighting the extraordinary lengths these men went to in order to survive and their eventual surrender.
