Natural Selection Journey

Wallace's passion for natural history led him on an adventurous path, including a transformative four-year expedition in Brazil and an eight-year journey through the Malay Archipelago. Despite facing setbacks, including losing much of his work in a ship fire, he made significant contributions to the understanding of natural selection alongside Darwin. His extensive collection and groundbreaking publications helped establish him as a pivotal figure in the field of evolution, with his influential book on the Malay Archipelago remaining in print to this day.
