Mysterious Expedition Disappearance

A group of hikers set out on a treacherous journey in extreme cold, but when communication ceased, families grew concerned. A search party discovered a tent abandoned and cut open from the inside, with all belongings left behind. Astonishingly, the only footprints found were those of individuals barefoot or in socks, leading away into the wilderness.
