Discovering Liechtenstein

Nestled between Switzerland and Austria, Liechtenstein is one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world. With a rich history dating back to the 12th century, the Liechtenstein family has played a pivotal role in its development. The capital, Vaduz, was the site of notorious witch trials in the 17th century, where financial motives led to the execution of around 200 individuals.
