Roman-Chinese Connections

The Romans and Chinese had limited direct contact, primarily trading bulky goods like wine and wheat. While some Roman artifacts have been found in China, most knowledge of each other came from secondhand sources. A captivating legend suggests that a lost Roman legion might have made its way to China, but archaeological evidence does not support this tale.
