Colonel Sanders
The Hanshin Tigers, a Japanese baseball team, have been haunted by the infamous "Curse of the Colonel" since 1985. After a victory in the Japan Series, fans threw a statue of Colonel Sanders into a river, leading to a prolonged losing streak. Despite efforts to recover the statue, the curse persists, as parts of the statue remain missing 1.
Since throwing the statue of the colonel into the river, the Tigers have never won the Japan Series.

Liverpool's Drought
Liverpool Football Club, one of England's most successful teams, faced a championship drought allegedly due to a witch doctor's curse. The curse, said to be lifted only by urinating on all four goalposts, was supposedly broken in 2019 when the team finally won the English Premier League 1.
The goalkeeper on that last championship team, Bruce Groblar, claimed that a witch doctor had put a curse on the team.

Australian Soccer
The Australian national soccer team, known as the Socceroos, was supposedly cursed by a witch doctor after failing to pay for his services in 1970. This curse allegedly kept them from qualifying for the World Cup for 32 years until it was lifted in 2004 1.
So the witch doctor cursed the Australian team. After that, Australia didn't qualify for the World Cup for 32 years.
