Childhood Races

Gary Arndt recounts his childhood experiences attending auto races with his father at the Wisconsin International Raceway. Although he doesn't consider himself an avid auto racing fan, these early experiences left a lasting impression on him. He fondly remembers watching the legendary Dick Trickle race at the local track 1.

My dad used to take me to the Wisconsin International Raceway, which is where the great Dick Trickle used to race.

International Races

Gary also shares his experiences attending international auto racing events, such as the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia and a Formula E event in Riyadh. He had the unique opportunity to ride in a retrofitted Formula One car and gain behind-the-scenes access as accredited media 1.

I attended the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia, Spain in 2011, where I had the opportunity to ride in an actual Formula One car that was retrofitted to allow passengers to sit between the wheels.
