Active research in causal theory is explored through generative flow networks, which generate graphs that identify causal relationships between variables. Unlike traditional reinforcement learning, this approach samples multiple theories based on their fit to data, allowing for a more Bayesian perspective in decision-making. By considering all theories and their respective probabilities, a more rational and comprehensive understanding of the data emerges.
