Language Technology Challenges

The fragmented linguistic landscape of India presents unique challenges for developing local language technologies. While major tech players are investing in the top languages, the long tail remains largely underserved. Efforts are underway to make public data, such as parliamentary proceedings, more accessible for research, but outdated technology and policy continue to hinder progress.
