A Perilous Journey

In this chapter, David Senra describes the daunting task that lies ahead for the 22 men stranded on Elephant Island in 1915. With no GPS and treacherous conditions, their navigator, Worsley, must guide them across 1000 miles of stormy ocean to reach an island only 25 miles wide. As they prepare to embark on this perilous journey, they maintain a confident outward attitude, knowing that their last hope for survival cannot be pinned on failure.
