Understanding Anemia

Iron deficiency anemia is characterized by low iron saturation and elevated transferrin levels, impacting hemoglobin production. Different types of anemia exhibit unique patterns; for instance, microcytic anemia, the most common type, arises from insufficient iron intake or absorption. Additionally, vitamin B12 deficiency presents a different challenge, where iron levels may be adequate, but hemoglobin production is hindered due to impaired maturation processes in the bone marrow.
