Is it possible that a low-carb diet has made my menstrual period disappear as discussed in the episode Keto Hacks for Women with Leanne Vogel and the clip Hormonal Health Journey
I have been going through a rough patch of getting out of the cycle of overtraining and being undernourished. I had a team nutritionist and psychologist help me gain 13 kg in 7 months. Because of many years of restrictions, my body has been hungry and tired. I have had a lot of overeating episodes, consuming around 10,000 calories a day, mostly from whole foods. I'm okay with the weight gain; I'm now at around 63-64 kg, and I'm 175 cm tall and female. However, I still haven't gotten my period back. I try to do strength training to get a better body composition, but often I just end up overeating and feeling bad again. I feel like I am in a really bad spiral. What should I do?
I am 21 years old and experiencing a lot of hormone issues. I haven't been on any birth control for 12 months. The symptoms I am experiencing are weight gain, especially around my stomach and thighs, cellulite, 19-22 day cycles with very low bleeding on my period (lasting only 2-4 days), no sex drive at all, bloating and constipation, and increased temperature. I work out fasted (with only perfect aminos) 4-5 mornings a week and consistently walk, but I cannot avoid the weight gain. I am usually a quite small person averaging 110 pounds, so this is really emotional for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
