Early Influences

Kyle Folk, CEO of Ground Truth Agriculture, reflects on his upbringing in Holdfast, Saskatchewan, a small farming community that profoundly influenced his career in agtech. Growing up, he was immersed in agriculture, helping his family with tasks like driving tractors and trucking grain, which instilled a deep appreciation for farming. Despite agtech not being a recognized field at the time, Kyle's early experiences laid the groundwork for his future ventures.

First Business Ventures

In 2009, Kyle Folk founded IntraGrain Technologies, marking his entry into the agtech industry. At the time, the concept of agtech was not widely recognized, but Kyle's vision was clear: to innovate within the agricultural sector by integrating technology. His background in a farming community provided him with unique insights into the challenges faced by farmers, which he aimed to address through his business.

When I started IntraGrain, agtech wasn't even a word. Agriculture was very different than technology.
