Royalist Rebellion Fails

A desperate attempt to reclaim political rights leads royalists to plot a coup to replace the king with his sister, Liliuokalani. Despite Robert's return and efforts to rally support, the rebellion quickly falters when they face well-prepared palace guards. The violent clash results in casualties on both sides, ultimately ending in the capture of Robert and his men, who are later acquitted, reflecting the strong sentiments against the bayonet constitution among native Hawaiians.
